hey kids.
here's a few words of advice...from someone with one week experience.
Stay In School.
I mean STAY in school--dont get a job.
Jobs Suck.
At least, jobs that you don't care about, aren't interested in, or don't know whats going on it, really really suck.
Like take for example...say someone majored in physics and astronomy in college.
Then they got a job as a receptionist at a mortgage banking coporation. It's a small place, and so far the job isn't too hard. But that doens't mean it isn't incredibly boring, confusing and rather unenjoyable.
It mighty, say, make such a person decide to go back to school within a week of working such a job.
Because as it turns out, it's no fun to be in a job you don't love. It's also no fun to spend lots and lots of time in traffic.
So, the point is, I'm going back to school....hopefully. I don't know that I love astronomy as much as I could or should or if I'm really going to be or am any good at it, but I do know that its 100% better than being in mortgage banking or any other kind of dull, number crunching, money grubbing, dull office job.
The one amusing thing about the job is that it reminds me of the tv show "the office," which makes me smile sometimes. The people are also nice. But gah, they like mortgage banking! What could be wrong with them?

From someone who enjoys their dull, number crunching, money grubbing, dull office job - I'm happy to hear that you are planning on going back to school. I've always wanted to be friends with someone like that chick in Contact. Maybe you'll meet the president if you go back to college! May even an ALIEN! SWEET! If they're cute aliens, would you introduce me? Oh, and don't tell Mark. ;) I'm glad to hear that while not entertaining, your job is at least tolerable.
