Woo Hoo!
Today Travis and I went to the taping of a sitcom. The sitcom isn't particularly good, but the one and only reason I wanted to go was to see my favorite actress, Andrea Parker, who is in it. I love her from THE PRETENDER. I think she was amazing on that show, and have since loved her. So we went only for me to see her in the sitcom, Less Than Perfect. It took almost 6 hours for the whole taping!!! I had to pee for about 2 or 3 hours. She was there, and we got to see her act, it was very cool. We were in the third of like six rows (although they were really long), it wasn't too big of a studio. After it was finally over we hung around and went to the front of the audience part (it was higher than the stage) so that maybe I could see her or get her autograph. Unfortunately I didn't think ahead at all and had nothing for her to sign if I did get to see her. Travis found a piece of paper of something he had in his wallet like 3x4 inches at most. So we went to the front and there were some few people talking to the actors and such. She started to walk away and I was all panicky, and Travis yelled "Miss Parker" and she stopped and came over. Ack it was exciting! I got to shake her hand, and told her I loved her on Pretender and she was the only reason we were there tonight. Travis told me she said something like - wow that's really flattering, thank you so much. But I honestly don't really remember what she said at all. She was really friendly, and she gladly signed the tiny little piece of paper for me (as well as kissed it). I was excited and very happy. I was pretty much ready to cry out of happiness and excitedness, so I was too afraid to say much or stay there too long, for fear of crying! Although I wish I had tried to talk to her more; she's awesome! Now I'm just completely dying to watch an episode of The Pretender. Travis has like never even seen her before, except like there in teh studio, so he doesn't know how good of an actress she is. The show she's on now isn't too great. Well its a sitcom for one thing, which I never really find very entertaining, and its a pretty bland one too. But I love her! I always wanted to (not that I would ever would or have any interest in making a movie or writing at all) make a movie role just for her, because I think she is awesome and she would be really great in a movie, and she deserves to be in a better role than the one she is in now. So, suffice to say I am and was excited about meeting her. She's really the first famous person I've had any contact with ever really. And she's my favorite actress! The only other remotely famous people on the show is Andy Dick, who I really didn't care about. Plus the episode we were there, they had a special guest of Xena (ok, Lucy Lawless), who didn't really look like Xena at all! Now I just want to go back to see the show again, only to see Andrea Parker again. I just wish I remember what she said or did when I did see her; I was too excited to remember anything! Also, I made a new icon because of this occasion!
In other news: no job yet and still absolutely no prospects! GRRR.
But strangely enough I feel that seeing her has inspired me a little bit. She has before too on The Pretender a little bit. But who knows how long this will last; probably not till tomorow.
Nonetheless, I got to meet Andrea Parker!!!!!
