tv show thoughts!
If I don't post this now I probably never will. Apologies for any part where I don't make sense, because I tend to be very unclear when I write sometimes!
While I mostly enjoyed Warehouse 13 (though sometimes it was a little too cheesy and silly for me) I seem to have no desire to keep watching it. Not because I think it sucks or anything, but I just didn't really fall in love with it as much as I thought I did. And now I'm hearing the latest (or a recent) episode was really down on the Myka/HG shipping, or at least about it becoming a reality, which I just find really disappointing and makes me want to watch even less.
I mean its clear at least someone involved with the show or at least the people advertising realize that it is a huge ship and the show sometimes caters to it and gives little hints. It honestly just seems pointless to me for them NOT to make it canon or make it semi canon at this point. They already have an actual gay character on that show, so it's not like they're one of those shows that never even mention gayness exists.
But then again I haven't watched any episodes since that weird (mid season?)finale a few months ago so what do I know. (Answer: I only know what tumblr and other fannish places I get glimpses of it!)
Continuum episode 2.5
Not deeply interested in the - she misses her kid - storyline because ugh kids, just not compelling to me. But it was fine; I care about Keira enough at this point to be vaguely affected by it.
It's interesting how she basically doesn't seem to miss her hubby at all. I mean it's pretty clear he's not on the up and up and knew something about the time traveling at the execution. Which she doesn't seem all that aware of it so it's weird she doesn't seem to miss him that much. Maybe they are doing it so that people are more likely to get into ships with her? But even though there are a majority of dude characters I don't really see any of the ships myself? I guess the main possibilities would be Carlos (who mostly I just find pretty bland and works well as a friend but that's it) or Kellogg (which I can definitely get into but more as a sort of antagonistic ship almost?).
Also yay Alessandro Juliani. Weird plot, but still yay!
Not much Liber8 in this one but finding out Betty was the mole was slightly surprising and also not very surprising. About halfway thru the episode I thought that her pretending to being framed was pretty clever for her to do if she really was the mole! It seems sort of odd though beause they don't explain her motivation at all or when she started working with them, but hopefully they'll develop her more now.
episode 2.6
I was surprised Keira actually told Carlos the truth about her, partly because I'm used to shows sometimes dragging things like that out FOREVER. But I guess partly since this only a 10-13 episode per season show it makes more sense, since it's essentially mid season 2 at this point.
Also I liked how he was basically like wtf you are crazy at first. I thought he came around to believing her a little fast though? Like I was waiting for her to show him some of the amazing tech as actual proof. Because like amazing suits that protect you from bullets and make you disappear and futuristic gun type things seem like pretty good proof.
I do enjoy his trust of her though, despite the fact that she lies to him and doesn't tell him shit most of the time.
I was also completely NOT surprised when that girl from Caprica that Alec is dating turned out to be not totally legit! It seemed like she was very interested in getting in the lab and has some not good ulterior motives. Alec is young but supposed to be smart, so I sort of wonder why he's not a little more suspicious if people aren't trying to mess with him since he is so important in the future.
Kellogg basically trying to control the future by getting in with people who are gonna create awesome shit in the future is really interesting. It seems like a really dangerous game though because he has no idea how that will affect things. (Unless they are going with the theory that all this had to happen for the future to be as it was when they left. But it seems more like they are going with the they are changing the future with their past actions thing.)
PS I'm on episode 7 of Orphan Black!!

I'm with you re: shipping. Kiera/Carlos.. eh okay I guess, but really I just want them to be partners and friends. Kiera/Kellogg was interesting but then they sort of abandoned that so I don't know there. I ship Kiera/saving the world, mostly.
That girl Alec is dating was so obvious. It's really not common for hot women to fawn over awkward computer nerds. Maybe I should have just been happy for something different shown on tv but instead I knew immediately she was just snooping on him. Sigh.
YAY Orphan Black! Orphan Black is so amazing and I think has been the best tv surprise of this tv season. I'm already anxious for the second season.

There has been a lack of Kellogg lately; I was liking him a lot but he hasn't really been on or done much lately. Sad times, because he's also the hottest dude on the show imo :)
Also I finished Orphan Black yesterday, it was as awesome as I had hoped it would be!
