In which I am briefly negative.

I just finished Doctor Who. I don't know if that show or Fringe annoyed me more. Although to be fair, DW didn't annoy me until the end. I thought it was pretty decent for most of it, and I was even partially creeped out by the Silence for a bit. But then that stuff at the end happened and I just wasn't feeling it. Ugh.

Fringe, well Fringe. I don't know what to say. I feel like I should just wait until the season finale before I go ranting about it. But well I liked this weeks better than last weeks. And I like Sam Weiss. And I think they are all stupid for not asking him about 8 dozen more questions than they did. He surely knows a lot, but no one seems to care. Whatever.

Not really getting into yapping more now, I just needed to express my annoyance at everything.

(And yes, I know.... why do I watch these shows if they piss me off/if I hate them so much? But well, that's just such a stupid question I can't really address it. And no one's asked it anyway, so whatever.)

I just finished watching this week's Fringe and liked it a lot, tbh, but agree about Sam. They should give him more credit, he's the one who understand the machine the most! I was really pissed when they left him behind. Last week's episode I didn't like too much, tho, but in general I like the series.

(Doctor Who I enjoy some times, especially older seasons, but I just can't like the current group...)

In general I like Fringe, so even if I end up ranting over the finale, that doesn't mean I don't love it. But usually the shows I like the most are the ones that piss me off the most it seems :)

I do hope they bring Sam Weiss back next season because there seems like there's still a ton they could (and should) do with him.

I liked the earlier seasons of Nu!Who but this last season and this current one are a bit harder for me to feel as engaged with. Did you watch the earlier seasons of the recent series, or do you mean the older seasons from the 80s and such?

Doctor Who I liked 9th and 10th a lot, as well as some of the first few, especially 4th and 5th (though I only watched the oldest ones recently, I never did when younger), and some of the companions, with Rose as my fav. I loved Rose, but the current group I can't like. I don't like the Doctor, can't stand Amy (and her boyfriend, husband?) and honestly, can't understand what's the big buzz about River Song either

*waits to be hit with rotten eggs by DW fans!* XD

And out of topic, but love that BFFs icon. I love Astrid and Walter <3 (NOT as SHIP, jic, sometimes I feel like every time someone names two characters in one sentence, it HAS to be a Ship ROFL! There's no place for friendships in fandom!!?? XD)

I loved all the companions of the recent series, but I'm still having trouble with Amy too. I don't hate her, but I don't love her near as much as I loved the earlier ones. I do completely love River Song though and Rory's starting to grow on me more and more.
Though the plot of the recent seasons is not really something I'm feeling, but I'll stick it out regardless.

I love Astrid and Walter as BFFs too, they are an unlikely but wonderful pairing as friends. (And tbh I don't really have any strong shippy (romantic) feelings towards any pairing in Fringe.)

I also completely love River Song and was disappointed when she didn't become a full time companion. Amy irks the hell out of me, and it's not for reasons I've read on Amy-hate blogs. Her "sex appeal" doesn't bother me. At the start, I thought she would be like a younger version of Donna but with more confidence. Instead she's very selfish, inconsiderate and constantly favors the Doctor over Rory without any contrite. I can't understand (or believe) Rory's devotion to her. I end pitying him in just about every episode. I really like the 11th Doctor but wish River was there instead of Amy. Actually, I would REALLY like to see Donna and the 11th Doctor together.

Donna and the 11th Doctor would be amazing. But then again, Donna with anyone I would probably love!

And it definitely needs more River. The should would be even more awesome IMO if she became a more frequent companion.

Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction.

As for shows that piss me off. I decided I was only going to have one of them and it was between Glee and Doctor Who. I decided to go with DW, but maybe I should have gone the other way? At least Glee has singing in it.

Well I have never watched an episode of Glee, so I dunno if you made the right choice!

I am afraid DW is going to piss me off more, but it's sort of in a way I don't mind enough to stop watching ... if that makes any sense!
