Dear world of Babylon 5 fans: my friend finished the first season and posted an epic gif filled reaction to it. Seriously, you should check it out.

I am re-watching Babylon 5 with a friend who has never seen it before (Best thing ever, by the way. I love watching a show that is new to someone else that I already know is wonderful). We are only about halfway through season 1 and they already like it! Which is pretty impressive, given that there are a handful of serious clunkers and so much of it is just set up.

We are watching on the WB site which amazingly has the first season (and possibly second?) season up for streaming. However even the WB can agree on some things: they have all of season 1 available, except for one episode. That episode is of course TKO. Granted there are probably two or three other season 1 episodes they could have left out instead that a lot of people would also agree with. And that episode they left out, there is actually a decent B story, but watching the main plotline is just a pointless waste of your life honestly.

Not that I'm dissing Babylon 5; in every series I love there are always a few episodes that are real clunkers, it's unavoidable.

I must post about this now because it has made me very excited, and that is not something that happens often!
Jackie and I have been watching Babylon 5. She has never seen it before and I am enjoying my second or third time through. It is an awesome show. Not everyone loves it, and that is fair, but it is amazing and I love it, and I think its one of the best science fiction shows ever.
We literally just finished watching about four five episodes only a few minutes ago.
I get online and much to my (intense, squeeing, fangirly, flailing) joy it seems that Bruce Boxleitner is going to be at DragonCon this year. I think this may have sealed the deal on me for sure wanting to go to DragonCon.
Not that I didn't want to go before, but now, I really *really* want to go. And meet Captain Sheridan! And be a huge geek about a show that is over ten years old!! For some reason, I am not sure what it is, I have a strange intense love for Sheridan. I love the show overall, and usually I am sort of ambivalent towards the main white hero guys in my shows or do not crazy love them, but for Babylon 5 that is different. I am officially very excited for DragonCon. (!!!!!!)
