ghanimasun | california is weird

yesterday i saw it drizzle for maybe 5 minutes or so outside. (for the first time in the three months that ive been here). in other places it rained 1/10th of an inch yesterday. i know this exact number, because this was reported ON THE NEWS yesterday night. (not the weather section of the news--i mean like as a story. they had footage and everything) yes, tahts right. the tv news station decided that the fact that IT RAINED was a newsworthy event. seriously. it was on the news.
i don't understand how people think this is normal.
