I wrote this a few days ago and I'm not in the mood to reread it and make sure it makes sense. So read with caution. Also PLL spoilers.
Toby is still the worst. Seriously. Why is he still so annoying! Why is Spencer putting up with his shit? I assume Spencer crying at the end was because of Emily too, right? It can't only be because he was his usual uncommunicative self with her. Also I'm a billion times more invested in the Spencer-Emily stuff. Really did love the Emily-Alison and Spencer stuff. Spencer being an idiot and showing up makes total sense and was clearly a big mistake on her part. Not that Emily was smart to just show up there but its clear she is being sucked in again. Not sure how much and how much is Alison being genuine, because it's always hard to tell how genuine Ali is. But Spencers perspective and suspicions are completely valid and smart. She knows Emily better and she has a better understanding of what a manipulative ass Alison can be. It makes sense for her to be suspicious and cautious. Just as it makes a sad sort of tragic sense for Emily to be so easily pulled in again. Too many unresolved issues with Em and Ali. The Shawna stuff was weird and out of nowhere. Vague mention of Jenna, but is she out of the hospital and chilling somewhere or still in a coma or whatever? And she was just faking being into Jenna so she could see if she tried to kill her? How could Alison not know who freaking tried to kill her/buried her alive? She knows Jenna already thought she was dead from Garrett. Also in general just consistently annoyed that when every people as questions they get exclamations of I DONT KNOW. or I USED TO KNOW or I CANT TELL YOU. Omg freaking tell them ANYTHING. EVER. Idiots.
And Aria. I seriously still have no idea what Jake looks like two seconds after he's not on screen any more. I can only assume it was the same dude playing Jake but hell if I know. I do sort of love Ezra flipping the fuck out though, even though I thought he'd give a stupid explanation of oh that lady hit my car or something else. UGH nobody cares about your fake kid and if he is EVIL why is he dragging a kid back into his life? A random kid hes not related to. HOW does that help his evil plan!!?! I did lol at Jake getting kick stabbed though. Just so ridiculous. And really only makes sense if Ezra did it? Why would another A even notice Jake at this point.
Also I sort of feel like the show is being legit deliberate now with the Ezria eat cake (LITERALLY AGAIN EATING CAKE) while everyone else is crying and miserable. I did lol so much at that compilation of scenes. The other 3 girls all have reasons to be sad/angry/crying. And Aria and Ezra are eating cake. Not even like popcorn or something else. BUT CAKE. Good lord I hope that was deliberate. Also still have no hope they're gonna make him legit evil :(
Also I was reading the recap for the show a few weeks ago, (and I sort of love if you hadn't actually seen the show you can't really tell which of the things in the recaps are exaggerations or not) and she wrote about something and i was like ok well that she just made up b/c that totally didn't happen. Then I remembered it did happen. Oh show. I love it.
