tv show things
I'm not saying Continuum is a better show than Dexter, but I would like to say that I like Continuum a hell of a lot more and it doesn't make me yell at the screen as much. I am only comparing the two because they both aired tonight and I watched them back to back. Also they're among the few shows I am watching now that are currently airing new episodes.
I'm only watching Dexter because it's the last season. I can't bring myself to watch True Blood anymore. I know how ridiculous it is and its not a fun kind of ridiculous. Plus I don't give a shit about most of the characters and the never ending bullshit plots and stupidity. And now I hear there's gonna be yet another season of TB. Ugh, no thanks.
And so of course I then made the mistake of going on the tumblr tag for Dexter. It boggles my mind that there are people still that dislike Debra???!? She is seriously the only reason I am still watching that crap and the only character I care about. Dexter is a shit and annoying and stupid as hell. The other cops left are boring dudes that have been so screwed over by the show their characters are really just jokes at this point. Seriously, Deb is the BEST and only redeeming thing about that show for me, and for a long while. (And really if Deb was a good person like Dexter and that other woman keep telling her, then yeah killing Dexter isn't a BAD thing, because Dexter is a TERRIBLE person and he should really be stopped. For Deb's guilt and PTSD to go away in a few episodes would have been super unrealistic. .... Um, not that this show really has much basis in reality though.) Anyway. Why do people hate Deb? I still don't get it?
As for Continuum, I'm just glad they didn't kill Sonya or Travis off and vaguely amused Helo's scheming did nothing but get them back together. Sometimes it feels like Carlos might start sympathizing with Liber8 because he doesn't seem very okay with the police being financed by a private investor (because, why would he? that is super messed up). Also still confused about Lucas going crazy and not sure what the point of it was? Unless they are all gonna go crazy if it's from the time travel, like they think? Mr Escher is sort of just a bland enigma to me, like, oh he's a mysterious all knowing powerful guy? Uh, okay? But what does he even want and why exactly do I care? Also I did in fact cheer when Kellogg was actually in this episode. He is so pretty.
