deep space 9, i've missed you!

Extra depressed thanks to my period. So to stop myself from being way too emotional about certain fandoms (Sherlock) and ranting nonsensically about things, I'm distracting myself with another show.

I've started trying to catch up on Star Trek: Deep Space 9. I tried to re-watch from the beginning, but as it turns out I've seen most of first two seasons already, repeatedly. So I'm skipping around the third season. Some stuff I am of course spoiled for, but there are a few things I don't know yet so I'm enjoying it. I just wish I could find one of those guides about which episodes are worth watching and which ones I can give a skip. Because I know there's a lot of episodes that are relatively pointless in the overall plot, or focus on characters I'm not particularly interested in. As of now, any episode that features Kira (who is basically the best character on the show), Dax, Sisko, Bashir or Odo are ones that are catching my interest. Though I suspect I might be skipping ones related to the plot, but I have no idea.

Anyway, depression and isolation are making me a bit strange today so I'll just stick to watching for now.

Which ones have you skipped? (Looking at the S3 ep list, there don't seem to be that many vital ones, so you're probably good.)

FWIW, the Wikipedia Episode Guide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_Trek:_Deep_Space_Nine_episodes#Season_3_.281994.E2.80.931995.29) does list which character(s) each ep is centered on.

I have a lot of love for DS9 - I know I'm the only one that thinks it was the best series in the Star Trek franchise - but I haven't seen it since it originally aired.

I <3 DS9 so much. I did a re-watch a few years back of the entire series and loved it. There are eps that aren't as important to the main plot/sub-plots but some of them are just fun and good. Also, you don't want to skip any eps when you get to the Dominion war, all those eps from that point on (even the few that are stand-alones) are really great. Kira is still to this day, one of my all time favorite characters :)
