Hmmm..this is the first I've heard about ontdfringe . Looks interesting I guess...although I don't really get what an ontd community is all about, or what sort of stuff will be posted in it. I keep getting it confused with an anonymeme, which I think is something totally different though. I have no idea!

That saaaid, ontd communities are just off-shoots of ohnotheydidnt, which is a celebrity news/blog site. The various off-shoots are specialized by topic, ie tv shows, and the goal is to post news/info/anything interesting and related to the topic, and everyone in the comments then squees/discusses/etc. The original community is very very snarky, and some of the off-shoots tend to be snarky too, but it really depends on who's running the comm and what it's about. Just through my brief skimming of ontdfringe it looks to be a more squee-centered type of community than a snark-centered one.

*the more you know* I've been a member of ontd since like 2005 so I know way too much about that comm.. :D

Yeah I kind of got the idea of what the original ontd is, but I wasn't sure what the offshoots were like. It looks like it should be fun actually, I was thinking it was going to be all negative and clique-y or something. But hey I'll just just about any Fringe-related comm so might as well :)
