the more i think about it, and read about it, the more i dislike the last episode of doctor who.
i've already read more than one alternative to the story telling on forums that were much more elegant, satisfying and sensible than what was presented on tv.
you know its bad when one of the best things you can think about it is...well it could have been worse.
this may even prompt me to read dw fanfic sometime in the future.
overall i thought this was a crappy send off. the plot was convoluted so as to be almost pointless. there were a few scenes which were genuinely emotional for me, but i didn't cry. the closest i came to crying was when anything had to do with donna. they didn't even really use her at all in this; she was just there longer than the other companions goodbye scenes because of wilf's random importance to the story.
also, mickey and martha? huh? ...yeah thanks for bothering to explain anything, ever show.
i know tennants doctor was often a bit of a selfish jerk, but i liked him anyway. i'm going to miss tennant, but perhaps not the somewhat crappy writing/plotting that RTD seems to excel at.
